OK – the latest sweepstakes on MyGameHQ!

This sweepstakes is going to be a little different, please read the directions carefully:

1. Enter the sweepstakes by leaving a comment on this post.
2. In your comment, answer the question: ‘Would you enter a game review writing contest on MyGameHQ?’
3. Deadline: 1-30-2012 6.p.m. MST or after this post receives 200 Facebook Likes: there will be a random drawing for all of the eligible comments on this post.
4. The winner of the drawing will receive $50 via Paypal.

And for those of you interested, here is what a game review writing contest will look like on MyGameHQ:

You will be provided with a game to review.

Play the game.

Write the review and leave it as a comment on the game review contest page.

Here are the judging criteria:

• For an entry to be eligible for a game review contest on MyGameHQ, it must include:
  • A numeric score for:
    • Gameplay(1 through 10)
    • Graphics (1 through 10)
    • Storyline (1 through 10)
    • Replay (1 through 10)
    • Include the numeric values at the end of your review
  • A minimum of 250 words
• Scores of between 1 through 10 will be provided for the top 5 reviews. Scores will be calculated based on the following criteria and weights (where appropriate, I included the types of questions I will be asking for each criterion):
• Style and Voice (40%)
  • Is the content of the review creative, unique, confident, opinionated?
• Contents (30%)
  • Is the content of the review original?
  • Is the content well-structured and easily read?
  • Does the review describe and offer a personal written opinion on gameplay value, replay value, graphics, storyline, and overall value?
• Mechanics and Grammar (30%)
  • Are there spelling, punctuation and grammar errors?

And for those of you still reading – I am really looking for feedback on the rules – if you provide helpful feedback in your comment, then you will double of chances of winning: your name will be entered into the random drawing twice!
