In other news , there are big changes in store for the MyGameHQ game review contests - I have decided to change future game review contest format to a judging contest rather than a most likes/popularity contest. I have been receiving a lot of feedback with respect to the ‘like’ contests and I think visitors to this site will end up with a better experience by changing to the judging format. This is going to mean a lot more work, but I think it will be worth the effort.
Good luck!

Baaaaa…It’s Shaun the Sheep! One of the cutest platform puzzlers ever made. If you haven’t played Home Sheep Home 2, then you haven’t played a great platform puzzler yet. Play it now.
This is a fast and easy to learn game, especially with the well made tutorial. You’ll be off on your way in no time!
Shaun, Shirley and Timmy go on an adventure! Yes, an adventure! This platformer has a storyline to it and it is actually quite entertaining. Advance through each level with a certain quest and collect socks on their way through London! Each sheep has their own “unique strength” that will help you through each level. Shaun can run and jump the fastest; Timmy can fit through small gaps and Shirley can push heavy things.
Graphics are extraordinary and of high quality. The sound effects, sheep sounds, and music are cute and perfect. “Vintage” looking gameplay just adds to the overall gaming experience and environment. You will not be let down.
The gameplay is very “real” and you ARE the player. You control all three sheep and must interact with the environment in order to pass onto the next level. Move around. jump, push, and navigate your way to the finishing point. Each level is different and unique in it’s own way. You won’t ever get bored, and will want more at the end of the game.
No point in writing a whole bunch and telling you all the greatness of Home Sheep Home 2. Just play it now! It’s one of the best (and cutest) platform puzzlers out there. Give it a try, you won’t regret it. Suitable for everyone of all ages.
10/10
Review by the Winner of the Home Sheep Home 2 Game Review Contest: Vincent Wang.
“Sneak Thief 4″ is a sequel to long running series. It is the fourth instalment of the quest game and I dare to say, that the quality is improving with each game.
Graphics are cartoon style pictures – nice without pretending. Too much pink for my own taste, but nevertheless it creates a fun atmosphere. Puzzles are hard without making you considering to commit suicide. There is a pinch of humour in every aspect of the game starting with the hero, which looks awful like old school cartoon villain in red jumpsuit. Beak nose, yellow skin, big white eyes – it is all there.
The adventure begins in a submarine, not yellow one, where is a lots to be explored, even more to be found and used at the correct time and place. I would not want to spoil the game for you, so I will not post any examples here. There is a walkthrough button at the title screen, but it is up to you to decide if you want to hit it. I personally recommend you to hold it for while. There are several places in the game, where after you find how to solve the puzzle and move forward, there will be a slap on the forehead. Just a little hint, if you are newbie with the quest games – some items you found will need to be combined among themselves before being of any use.
Quest genre is definitely not everyone’s favourite, but if you enjoy clever puzzles, lots of humour, pleasant atmosphere and generally good time with a pinch of sad robots and frozen brains thrown in, this is the game for you.

“Long way” is a tower defence game, suited in the WWW – wild, wild west that is.
I use the word tower here as genre definitive, as there is not a single tower in the game. All the defence is done by different kind of cowboys. Later in the game, there is an option to hire an American Indian to help you in your mission. And your mission is simple and ordinary, considering the time position of the game. You have to protect small herd of cattle. One would think, that 5 bulls do not worth all the killing, but than again, this looks as a desert area and this can pretty much be all the cattle around. The mission starts with the bulls, positioned in the barn at the end of canyon. There are bandits trying to steal it, and you should position your defenders on higher ground to kill them, as they approach.
It all sounds pretty common for this type of games, but there are several additional elements, that really spice up the game. Your defenders are not randomly upgradable. They need to kill some enemies, gain experience and only than you can pay to improve them. There are additional gear you can buy between the missions at the several towns game map has. This gear is not mandatory, but it sure adds up some nice bonuses.
And if this is not enough, there are additional quests given to you in towns or even random guys in trouble. Add the achievement system and the cool visual effects (blood and bones, what else) and you have one very playable game, which can easily take you through some long work hours.

One calm evening, Bark and his friends were enjoying the comfort of home when suddenly; a portal to the monster world appears! In The Ultimate Monster-Maze Puzzle Adventure, join the courageous Bark in a world of monsters and complex puzzle mazes to save all of his friends, home belongings, and defeat the various evil monsters!
Monster Bark requires you to use the arrow or WASD keys in controlling the movement of a character. Random traps and puzzles are evident in every level with an obvious increase in game difficulty as you level through the world. Your main task is to avoid all the monsters as much as you can, collect the toys and items shining around the map area, and in certain levels, freeing your friends from bondage!
The unique thing about this awesome game is your capability to control each friend that you save. Through the use of buttons 1 – 5, you can instantly switch the character that you’d wish to use; moreover, every character available has distinct and useful abilities. Special powers can be activated through the use of the spacebar.
For button 1; Bark the fearless dog is the star character that runs with its cute floppy ears and can easily fit through the tiny holes around the puzzle. For button 2; Charlie the tough kid can help you jump across single holes and push aside all the tiny blocks. For button 3; Darcy the screamer features the ability to shout out and stun certain monsters when needed. For button 4; Ed the heavy kid is surely big and bold, rolling and breaking the big blocks as well as the weight to hold down the green switches. Lastly, for button 5; Floyd the nerd may look limp, but with his smart senses, fixing broken wires won’t be a problem! His thinness can also fit through the narrowest obstacles.
I personally think that Monster Bark is a highly addictive game. The maze puzzles may look simple, but serious analyzing skills would be required to completely finish the game. Artwork of each character is rather clever, depicting the unique personality of each character. Bark’s happy aura, Charlie’s swag style, Darcy’s anxious look, Ed’s strong quality, and Floyd’s neutral and geeky appeal. Playing this game might just keep you hooked for hours and hours until the end!
When separation anxiety creeps in, when the one you love is just a few more steps away from you – One and One Story is a sentimental portrayal of a shadow boy and shadow girl wanting to loving and needing to meet each other.
To begin with, the use of arrow keys will allow movement of both shadows; furthermore, the use of the Z button allows switching between the two characters. Main factors of losing in a level would depend on the obstacle spikes and falls that you might encounter; always stay away from the spiky thorns and remember that some jumps might be too high to land safely.
The switching control is however not functional as the stage levels increase – One and One Story has conceptualized a different kind of gameplay that tweaks in a gradual and understandable manner. You will then be forewarned with the upcoming change of gameplay and rules through a short, mystical story-themed text before every start of specific levels.
One and One Story is one of the top games that Armor Games has smartly created. The game would require some thinking to successfully go through the levels, but it’s not going to be a frustrating experience as it is still a fun game. The dark theme might seem spooky though if you try to feel and listen carefully, the music is just exceptionally right for the romantic drift that covers the love story of these two shadows in love. Notice the stunning art presented and will further make you love this awesome game that can bring you wanting for more until you actually finish it!
